Glitter, Gratitude, and a Grand Art New Chapter

This summer has been absolutely magical — and it’s all thanks to you.
At my recent art sale, twenty incredible collectors purchased thirty-three of my paintings — from a sweet 11-inch circle of delicious dots to a bold, 3x3-foot red octopus that has officially found its forever home. Seeing my work spark joy for so many people was profoundly moving. It felt like I was exhibiting at an art show, though I deeply missed the in-person interactions. I am so proud of this milestone — and deeply, deeply grateful to each of you who showed up, collected, cheered me on, or simply shared in the excitement.

Because of your support, something extraordinary happened: I was able to purchase the artwork of my dreams from artist Jordann Wine and acquire her entire stock of glitter — all 281 pounds of it — during her going out of business sale! This means I now have enough sparkle to create at least one (possibly many!) brand-new series of glittery artwork, and I can’t wait to see where this shimmering adventure takes me.
What’s Next
As I move into this new chapter, I’ve decided to take at least a year off from exhibiting at outdoor art shows. My husband has been my steadfast partner (well, grumbly at times, but certainly steadfast) through years of shows, and he’s ready for a well-earned rest — and truthfully, the costs, travel logistics, and ever changing weather conditions of showing have grown ever more challenging.
That said, this is not goodbye. I’m still very much creating.
Custom Commissions: I’m happily accepting them — if you’ve been dreaming of something special, let’s talk.
New Work Coming Soon: I plan to roll out fresh pieces before the winter holidays — both in my classic styles and hopefully in at least one exciting new, more wallet-friendly style, if all goes well.
Come Create With Me
In the meantime, I’ve been offering pointillism, bitty bite, and acrylic quilt classes from my home studio — and I’d love to create with you. You’re welcome to travel to my studio for a private, immersive art experience. We even have a guest room if you’d like to make it an overnight art retreat (or there are plenty of nearby Airbnbs).
If this sounds like your kind of adventure, please email me for details at saraoconnorfineart@gmail.com.
Thank you, from the bottom of my soon-to-be glitter-filled heart, for fueling my creative journey. Your support makes all of this possible — and the best is yet to come.
With love, sparkles, and spattered paint.
